Volunteers, The Omaha National Cemetery Support Committee will be holding their Fall monument (headstone) cleaning on Saturday, September 7, 2024. We will be starting at 9 a.m., lasting about two hours. We will be cleaning Section 3. Our supplies are limited, please bring your own bucket and a nylon brush. We DO NOT use soap,

Spring Monument (Headstone) Cleaning: Saturday, April 26 from 9-11 a.m. Will clean section 5 and 8. We have some buckets and soft nylon brushes available (NO wire brushes allowed), but if you have a bucket and soft nylon brush only (no wire brushes), please bring. These are large sections and we will need more volunteers.

Unaccompanied Memorial Service on Tuesday, May 6 at 3:30 p.m. Line up in Cortege Lane 1.

Memorial Day flag placement will happen on Saturday, May 24. Last year 4,500 flags were placed. Please arrive at 7:30 a.m. so we can begin at 8 a.m. Wearing heavy duty gloves makes it easier to set flag in ground. First burial in the cemetery is 9 a.m. in section 1. Normally burials don’t happen

ONC Memorial Day Ceremony will be Monday starting at 11:30 a.m. Attendees may bring lawn chairs. Parking is limited. Stay tuned for volunteer show time.

Flag pickup is scheduled for Tuesday, May 27 with volunteer arrival time of 7:30 a.m. for a 8 a.m. start. First burial of the day is at 9 a.m. in Section 1.
